Concrete Repairs and masonry crack stitching repairs
This project involved extensive remedial works to three residential tower blocks at St. Pauls Court in Gloucester. Our scope included 75 individual concrete repairs to the upstands, each varying in size, as well as masonry repairs to address significant cracking across the blockwork. The brief required solutions that would restore both the integrity and visual appearance of the structures, with minimal disruption to residents on site.
We began by installing galvanised helibar stitching to stabilise the cracked masonry, followed by the application of CemTie remedial ties to reinforce compromised sections. Light gauge galvanised mesh was fixed to areas requiring additional support. All DPC operatives were CSCS certified, trained in asbestos awareness and manual handling, and had reviewed the site RAMS. Given the live, residential environment, we prioritised low-noise methods and used extraction systems to minimise dust, ensuring a safe and respectful working approach throughout.
